Historic Barn Fundraiser
July 23, 2023: We are thrilled to announce that Price County Productions, Price County Fair, Price County 4-H, and the Price County Market Animal Sale have teamed up to start a major fundraising effort to bring back the Historic Barn at the Price County Fairgrounds! Standing for over 100 years this icon of our community needs a little.. ok maybe a lot of TLC. Over the course of many years, due to weather and wear the Barn has taken a hit and is in need of major repairs and updates. In the Barn's Current state, it is not able to be used. Our immediate goal is to have the collapsed wing reconstructed for the 2023 Price County Fair, so the barn can once again be open for the 4-h livestock exhibits and 4-H Market Animal Sale. Along with our immediate goal, we have future goals of holding more livestock events, music/dance events, weddings, and other celebrations in the Barn.
We are blessed to live in an amazing and supportive community. Price County Fairground's Historic Barn needs your support! With a fundraising goal of $150,000 set in place we are ready to give this barn the TLC it deserves! This total includes rebuilding the collapsed wing, removing shingles from existing wings & rotunda and replacing with metal roofing, structural maintenance of the barn, along with updating the electrical and plumbing. For 100+ years this amazing Barn has been standing and has impacted man lives. Let's team up and work together on another 100+ years of memories to look back on and give our community's Historic Barn the restoration it deserves!
October 12, 2023 Historic Barn Fundraiser Update!
Fundraising Goal - $150,000 (Includes rebuilding fallen wing, updating electrical & plumbing, repairing/maintaining foundation, repairing roofing on rotunda & wings, and adding in additional support systems for original wings & rotunda)
Amount Raised since July 23, 2023: $107,000
An incredibly big THANK YOU goes out to all of these individuals, families, and businesses! Because of these contributors listed below we have been able to give the Historic Barn the necessary care it deserves!
It was truly heartwarming to see the Barn back full with animals again at the 2023 Price County Fair! This would not have been possible without these generous contributors. Watching the smiles of the 4-H Kids as they took care of their animals and creating memories in the same exact Barn as their parents and grandparents did in years past is what this Barn is all about!
Now that the fallen wing has been rebuilt, our next focus is adding in additional support systems to the original wings and repairing the rotunda roof!
